A free 30 minute timer: press Start, and half an hour counts down across the screen, with a bell at the end. Use it for a block of work or study, a workout or the chores.
01 Half an hour
Half an hour, three ways
Thirty minutes is a block you can plan around: a section of a report, a chapter of reading, a set of practice problems or a language lesson. Decide what the half hour is for, start the countdown and keep going until the bell. The log under the text shows how many blocks you finished today.
It is also the length of a short workout, a run, a yoga session or a circuit at home, with the time large enough to see from the mat. And it is a fair limit for housework: half an hour for the kitchen or the garden is easier to start than “until it’s done”.
02 Other blocks
A longer or a shorter block
Under the digits you can switch to 20, 45 or 60 minutes. For a full hour of deep work, open the 1 hour timer; for one focused round, the 25 minute timer; and for a single quick task, the 10 minute timer. If you want the breaks between blocks to start by themselves, the break timer takes turns for you.

04 FAQ
Questions about the 30 minute timer
Does it keep time while I use other apps?
Yes. It counts from the moment you press Start, so switching tabs or apps doesn’t change the time, and the bell rings at the end. On a phone, keep the page open, or the bell may come late.
Can I see it from across the room during a workout?
Yes. The digits fill the window, and F or the full-screen button makes them fill the screen. While it runs, the timer asks the browser to keep the screen on, where the browser allows it.
Can I set 40 minutes?
Yes. Open Custom and step the length: by 5 minutes up to an hour and by 15 after it, from 1 minute to 10 hours. The page starts at 30 minutes again next time.
Is the 30 minute timer free to use?
Yes. No sign-up, no ads, nothing to download. Every finished block is saved in this browser, and you can add the timer to your home screen.
