A free fullscreen timer for the classroom or your desk: the countdown takes up the whole page as soon as it opens, with digits big enough to read from the back of the room. Press F to hide the tabs and bars of the browser as well, for a big timer on a projector or a TV.

01 Full screen

A countdown you can read across the room

The digits are as large as the window allows, and a bar under them shows how much time is left. Once the countdown runs, the buttons and the menu fade out, so a class or a study group sees only the time; any move of the mouse, a tap or a key brings them back. When the time is up, a bell rings and the countdown is saved to your study log.

Use it for a quiz, a timed essay, a break, a presentation or a quiet study hour. For a test with several parts and breaks, the exam timer runs one section after another. To show a countdown in OBS or on your own page, add the timer widget.

02 Other uses

As a presentation timer, it shows the speaker the minutes left; as a meeting timer, it keeps a stand-up or a workshop on time, and the bell marks the end. On a projector, it’s a classroom timer for group work or a lab.

04 FAQ

Questions about the fullscreen timer

How do I make the timer full screen?

It already is: the countdown takes up the whole page as soon as it opens. To hide the tabs and bars of the browser as well, press F or the full-screen button in the top corner; Esc or F brings them back. On an iPhone, the countdown fills the browser window.

Can I show it on a projector or a TV?

Yes. Open this page on the computer connected to the screen, set the length and press F: the digits scale to the size of the screen. While the countdown runs, the timer asks the browser to keep the screen on, where the browser allows it.

How long can the countdown be?

From 1 minute to 10 hours. Custom sets any length in that range: minute by minute up to 10, then in steps of 5 minutes, and of 15 past an hour. The page remembers your last length.

Does it keep counting if I switch tabs?

Yes. The timer counts from the moment you press Start, so a background tab or a reload doesn’t change the time. Open the page in two tabs and both show the same countdown.

Is the fullscreen timer free?

Yes. It is free, with no ads and no account. It works in any modern browser, and once you have opened it, it works offline too.
