How to make a study schedule

  1. Block out study time

Drag across the grid where you want to study, or tap a time on your phone. The Add block button opens the same form from the keyboard.

Choose the subject, and if you like, what to work on: a chapter, a problem set, flashcards. Each subject keeps its own color.

03 FAQ

Questions about the study planner

How do I make a study schedule?

Start with the hours that are already taken: classes, work, practice. Then drag study blocks into the gaps, one subject at a time, and put the hardest subject where you have the most energy. Short, regular blocks spread over the week work better than one long session.

How many hours a day should I study?

There is no single right number: it depends on your classes, your goals and how close the next exam is. Plan what you can really keep, compare it with the hours you actually log, and adjust next week’s plan.

Can I plan a whole semester?

Yes, it works as a semester planner: blocks set to repeat every week show up in every week until you change or delete them, so one regular week covers the whole semester. Add one-time blocks for test weeks and project deadlines. The planner suits a work week too: a subject can be a project or a client, and blocks and repeats work the same way.

Can I see my study calendar on my phone?

Yes. On a phone the planner shows one day at a time: pick the day at the top and tap a time to add a block. Your plan is saved in the browser of each device, so plan on the one you use most.

Can I print my study plan or save it as a PDF?

Yes. Print puts this week on one landscape page, and Save as PDF in the print window gives you a PDF. For a sheet with room to write, use the printable weekly planner.

Is this study planner free for students?

Yes, with no account, no ads and no limit on blocks or subjects. Your plan stays in this browser. Study Tally Pro will add sync across devices, free during early access; the planner itself stays free.
