A free 25 minute timer for one round of focused work: press Start, work until the bell, then take a break. Twenty-five minutes is the classic length of one Pomodoro.
01 One round
One Pomodoro, nothing more
The Pomodoro technique splits work into rounds of 25 minutes with a short break after each. This page keeps it to a single round: one countdown for the moment you want to start a task and stop thinking about the time. Put the phone in another room, pick the first small step and press Start.
At the bell the countdown stops and waits for you. To run the whole cycle, with short breaks and a long one after every fourth round, use the Pomodoro timer; to take turns between work and rest for any task, the break timer.

Other lengths of a round
Some work needs a longer round. Fifty minutes suits writing or code, ninety a deep block, and fifteen a quick start on a task you dread; all three are under the digits. For half an hour, open the 30 minute timer, and for a whole hour, the 1 hour timer.
03 How to
How to use the 25 minute timer
-

04 FAQ
Questions about the 25 minute timer
Why 25 minutes?
It is the round of the Pomodoro technique: long enough to get into a task, short enough to keep going without a break. If it ends just as you warm up, try 50 minutes.
Does it ring in a background tab?
Yes. The countdown runs from the moment you press Start, so a hidden tab keeps the right time, and the bell rings at zero. Turn on browser notifications in the settings for a note as well. On a phone, keep the page open.
Can I put it on the whole screen?
Yes. Press F or the button in the top corner: the timer takes the whole screen, without the bars of the browser. Esc brings the page back.
Can I make the round longer?
Yes. 15, 50 and 90 minutes are under the digits, and Custom sets any length up to 10 hours. The page still opens at 25 minutes every time.
Is the 25 minute timer free?
Yes, without an account or ads. Your rounds stay in this browser, and the page works offline once you have opened it.
