01 Themes
An aesthetic flip clock for your desk
This aesthetic flip clock wears the same themes as the aesthetic study timer: soft Fog or Meadow by day, Library or Night after dark, and the cute ones with clouds or hearts. In full screen the buttons fade after a few seconds, and only the time and the date stay on the screen.
Rain, café or fireplace sounds can play while it runs, so the clock makes a calm corner for studying or reading. For a countdown with nothing but the time, try the minimalist timer; to count up while you work, use the study clock with its stopwatch.
02 Timer
A flip clock timer for your study blocks
Press Timer above the cards, and the flip clock turns into a countdown. Pick 5, 10, 25 or 60 minutes, or set any length from 1 minute to 10 hours under Custom, then press Start.
When the cards reach zero, a bell rings and the block is saved to your study log, like any other timer here. The themes and sounds work in the timer too, and in full screen only the cards stay on the screen.

How to use the flip clock

Open the page
The clock shows the time of day as soon as the page loads, in the 12-hour format with AM or PM.

Show the seconds
Press Seconds, or S, to add two small cards that flip every second. Press it again to hide them.

Count down with the timer
Press Timer above the cards, pick a length and press Start, or hit Space. When the cards reach zero, a bell rings.

Pick a theme
Pick one under the clock, or press All themes for every theme and sound. Your theme stays for the next visit.

Go full screen
Press F or the full-screen button. The cards grow to fill the screen, and Esc brings the page back.

Questions about the flip clock
Is this flip clock online free?
Yes. It is free, with no account and no ads, and it works in any modern browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. Once you have opened it, it works offline too.
Can the flip clock show seconds?
Yes, if you want them: press Seconds or S. They appear as two small cards next to the minutes, and this device remembers your choice.
Can I use it as a flip clock timer?
Yes. Press Timer above the cards, pick 5, 10, 25 or 60 minutes, or any length under Custom, and press Start. The cards count down, a bell rings at zero and the session goes to your study log.
How long can the flip clock timer run?
From 1 minute to 10 hours. Under an hour the cards show minutes and seconds; from an hour they add the hours, as in 1:30:00. The page remembers your last length on this device.
Why don’t the digits flip on my screen?
Your device asks for reduced motion, so the digits change without the animation. Turn reduced motion off in your system settings to see them flip.
Can I keep the flip clock on screen all day?
Yes. In full screen the page asks the browser to keep the screen on, where the browser allows it, and the buttons fade until you move the mouse.
